Richard Gutierrez denied that Ivana Alawi caused a delay in their movie shoot
Kapamilya actor Richard Gutierrez and actress Ivana Alawi had a good working relationship when they were just shooting the “2050” episode of the Metro Manila Film Festival 2025 entry Shake, Rattle & Roll: Evil Origins.
In previous interviews, the actor has expressed excitement to work with the actress. This movie was technically their first project together.
He said that he and Ivana have been together several times at ABS-CBN Studios events, but that was the only time they were properly introduced at the story conference of their Metro Manila Film Festival 2025 entry, based on the article in Abante.
Richard Gutierrez said that Ivana Alawi is kind, and it was a pleasure for him to work with the actress.
He also defended his leading lady against the allegation that she received when they were still shooting the horror film. It was rumored that the actress became the cause of the delay on set. It was alleged that she had that kind of attitude because the movie allegedly, the producer is her rumored boyfriend, businessman-politician Albee Benitez.
However, the production team behind the movie defended the actress against the allegation. Ivana’s camp also denied that Benitez was the movie producer. Richard emphasized that there was no truth to the allegation against his leading lady in the movie. He also hoped that netizens would stop spreading fake news.
“Marami naman kasing fake news ngayon. ‘Yung intrigang ‘yon kay Ivana, fake news! Nag-enjoy nga akong ka-work siya. Okey siya sa shooting namin at kapag nagkakausap kami, masaya siyang kakuwentuhan. So sana tigilan na ‘yung mga ganu’ng fake news kay Ivana!” Richard Gutierrez said.
The actor also shared in an interview that the actress is very nice to everyone, she works hard, does not complain, and always gives her best during their shoot.
