Donny Pangilinan Reveals the Surprising Way He Fixes Fights w/ His Siblings

Donny Pangilinan Shares the Truth About Growing Up With ‘Alpha’ Siblings

DONNY PANGILINAN – Actor Donny Pangilinan is opening up like never before as he shares how he deals with heated arguments and emotional stand-offs with his siblings.

Donny Pangilinan offered a heartfelt look into how he navigates misunderstandings with his siblings during a recent press conference for his debut action series, Roja. Although he grew up in a household with four other siblings, the actor admitted that tension could still run high whenever conflicts surfaced, largely because of their equally dominant personalities.

Donny shared that disagreements were not frequent, but when they happened, they could escalate quickly. He recounted a particularly difficult moment when he and his brother went several days without speaking, even while sharing the same home. The experience, he said, pushed him to reflect on the role of pride in strained relationships and how choosing humility can pave the way to healing.

“Growing up, you know, as a kid with four other siblings, we didn’t really fight a lot… But when we fought, we would really fight. Kasi, mga alpha kami lahat eh, I would say. I think those are some of the moments that parang iniisip namin, paano kaya kami mag-uusap dito? Kasi, everyday kami nagkikita, eh, mataas pa yung pride namin. So, those are the moments na iniisip ko, how will we survive this? Kasi, nasa isang bahay kami. May parang lumagpas na panahon na parang four days, five days kami di nag-uusap ng brother ko. Tapos, yun yung parang sabi ko, paano natin gagawin ‘to? But I think it also boils down to like, putting your pride aside and making sure that at the end of the day, it should be worth it kung ano yung nangyayari.”

The actor emphasized that resolving conflicts starts with acknowledging that family bonds should always take precedence over temporary disagreements. For him, the willingness to set pride aside becomes the turning point toward reconciliation.
