Is it true that Chiz Escudero has a property in Alphaland?
Senator Chiz Escudero, who is named as the “poorest senator,” allegedly owned a multi-million property in “Billionaires’ Village.”
Based on the recent Statements of Assets, Liabilities, and Net Worth that senators released, Escudero was the poorest with a net worth of PHP 18,840,082.62 and with no liabilities.
This raised many people’s eyebrows as they can’t simply believe that Escudero only had that amount for his net worth. It is known to many people in the Philippines that the senator’s wife, Queen of Creative Collaborations Heart Evangelista has a lavish lifestyle, owning luxury bags, shoes, clothes. and pieces of jewelry.
Sen. Chiz Escudero was accused of receiving kickbacks from anomalous flood control projects. However, the lawmaker denied that accusation against him. The Senator was also linked to the construction company of his brother-in-law Joseph John Quirante, who was allegedly involved in the flood control issue.
Previously, he accused former House Speaker Martin Romualdez of being the man behind the script and the “sarswela” linking his name in the controversy. It was also said that Romualdez had “pasabog” against Escudero when the former appeared before the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI).
Following the SALN declarations of Senators, a report from Bilyonaryo News Channel stated that the “poorest senator” owns a property in Alphaland Baguio Mountain Lodge which is tagged as the “Billionaires’ Village.”
Reportedly, Escudero owns a six-bedroom unit that is now valued at around ₱100 million, and this was through the corpation named Charm of Baguio Log Homes Holding, Inc. Allegedly, Zaldy Co and Eric Yap also own properties in the said luxurious village.
Aside from owning a multimillion property, it was said that Sen. Chiz Escudero is also a director Alphaland Corp.
As of this writing, the lawmaker has not yet spoken regarding the accusation against him.
