Sassa Gurl Shares the Pain & Beauty of Loving in a Judgmental World

Sassa Gurl Gets Real About the Struggles of Loving as a Gay Person in Today’s Society

SASSA GURL – In a moving revelation, content creator and comedian Sassa Gurl opened up about the challenges of loving freely in a world that often fails to understand people like her.

Content creator and comedian Sassa Gurl is filled with excitement after her film “Multwoh (Patay Na Patay Sa ‘Yo)” was officially selected for the 2026 Puregold Cine Panalo Film Festival.

During the announcement of the festival’s Final 7 entries held on October 25 at Gateway Cineplex in Cubao, Quezon City, Sassa couldn’t contain her emotions as the title of their film was announced, along with the name of their director, Rodina Singh. The moment marked a significant milestone for Sassa—not just as the film’s lead actress but also as one of its producers, alongside her leading man, Kapuso actor Martin del Rosario.

“Number one, sobrang hirap po mag-produce pala. This is my first film na ipo-produce,” Sassa Gurl shared after the announcement. She admitted that there were times she doubted whether Multwoh would even be completed. “Hindi ko alam kung mapo-produce ba namin, mabubuo ba namin, at mabubuhay ba namin ang Multwoh. Pero iyon nga, may mga tao at may mga entities, may mga brand na maniniwala sa iyo. Kakampi ka. Kaya hayun, nabuhay po namin ang Multwoh! Yaass!” she added enthusiastically.

When asked about her thoughts on “Dreamboi”, a CineSilip 2025 entry directed by the same filmmaker, Rodina Singh, and starring Tony Labrusca and EJ Jallorina, Sassa expressed admiration and humor. She even made a guest appearance in that film, which was initially rated “X” twice by the MTRCB before receiving an R-18 classification.

“Inggit na inggit! Ay, naku! Nu’ng pinanood ko iyong Dreamboi, tapos nakita ko iyong eksena ni EJ, sabi ko, ‘Ay! Parang deserved niya iyong rated X! Charing! Panalung-panalo si EJ doon, ha?!’” she joked.

However, she clarified that Multwoh will have no erotic scenes. “Paano kami magkakaroon ng ganoong eksena, mainit na eksena ni Martin, e, patay ako dito, di ba?! So, ayun. PG itong Multwoh, pampamilya ito. Sobrang pam-festival ito.”

According to the teaser, the film explores a ghostly yet heartfelt love story: “Paano mo na lang sasabihin na mahal mo siya kung multo ka na at matatakutin siya?”

Sassa revealed that Multwoh is deeply personal. “Ako po kasi, bilang isang bakla, alam ko sa sarili ko na hirap na hirap magmahal sa ganitong klaseng mundo. So minsan po, dinededma ka. Tulad ng mga bakla, para kaming mga multwoh. Malayo kaming magmahal. Madalas, kahit malayo kaming magmahal, totoo ito. At most of the time, buhay ang pagmamahal namin,” she said, emphasizing that the film mirrors her own experience of love and acceptance.
