Policeman Placed Behind Bars for Robbing Convenience Store in Quezon City
A 41-year-old police officer found himself behind bars after reportedly robbing a convenience store in Quezon City.
On Sunday morning, October 26, 2025, the suspect, known as “Patrolman Quimpo,” was assigned to the District Headquarters Support Unit. He was arrested inside Camp Karingal around 9:35 a.m. while he was on duty, according to the report of Quezon City Police District (QCPD).
Authorities said Quimpo was identified as the same person who held up a 7-Eleven branch along Banawe Street in Quezon City during the early hours of October 23. According to the report, he entered the store past 1 a.m., pointed his firearm at the cashier, and demanded money from the register.

The frightened cashier handed over around P2,000, after which Quimpo immediately fled the scene on his motorcycle.
Investigators quickly tracked him down after reviewing CCTV footage and receiving reports linking him to the incident.
When confronted, the officer reportedly admitted to committing the robbery, saying he was struggling financially and had been working part-time as a ride-hailing app driver to make ends meet.

Following his arrest, police officials disarmed Quimpo and placed him under custody at Camp Karingal. He now faces both criminal and administrative charges for his actions.
The incident shocked many netizens, as police officers are expected to serve and protect the public, not harm or take advantage of them.
The QCPD assured the public that the case will be handled fairly and that the department does not tolerate misconduct among its ranks.
The recent robbery incident reminds the public that no one is above the law, and even those in uniform must be held accountable for their wrongdoings.
