Rider Dies, Wife Injured After Jeepney Crash in Caloocan
A motorcycle rider on his way to drop off his wife lost his life after a jeepney hit him in Caloocan City.
During the early hours of Saturday, September 27, 2025, a tragic road accident in Caloocan City one rider dead and his wife badly injured.
The 32-year-old rider was on his way to drop off his 29-year-old wife at work when a speeding jeepney suddenly counterflowed along F.S. Samano Road in Barangay 175. The jeepney, swerving recklessly, crashed directly into the couple’s motorcycle, which was in its proper lane.

The impact was so strong that the husband and wife were thrown off their motorcycle. Barangay rescuers who happened to pass by quickly rushed to their aid and brought them to the nearest hospital.
Unfortunately, the rider did not survive, while his wife remains confined and in need of multiple operations. The motorcycle was left crushed on the road, while the jeepney rammed into the side of the street.
However, the jeepney driver fled the scene and left the victims behind. Police have already identified him and confirmed he will face charges of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide, serious physical injury, and property damage.

The rider leaves behind his wife and their two young daughters, aged 13 and 4. The victim’s family shared their deep pain, saying it is hard to accept the sudden loss, especially with the children left behind without their father’s support.
The wife, despite her serious condition, is fighting to recover for the sake of her children. According to relatives, she has already undergone one surgery and is still scheduled for more procedures.
“Sana sumurrender na siya para mabigyan ng hustisya ‘yung pagkamatay nung asawa ng hipag ko,” the wife said.
The operator of the jeepney has extended some initial financial assistance, but the family continues to struggle with mounting hospital bills. They are also appealing to the driver to surrender so that justice can be served for the death of their loved one.
