Arnel Pineda’s Camp Reveals His Side About Estranged Wife’s Accusations
ARNEL PINEDA – Journey frontman Arnel Pineda is breaking his silence, with his manager revealing the rock star’s side of the story in light of his wife’s explosive allegations.
International rock star Arnel Pineda, the iconic vocalist of Journey, has addressed the domestic abu*e allegations raised by his estranged wife through his management team.
In a statement released by his Las Vegas-based manager, Yul Session, Pineda firmly denied the accusations, insisting that the claims were fabricated as retaliation for the adultery charges he had previously filed against her.
“This is not true,” Session said. “Two years ago, Arnel filed an adultery case against [wife]. Everything she’s saying now is retaliation. Arnel has proof that she has a lover.”
Session explained that Pineda pursued legal action only after uncovering his wife’s relationship with another man. “Arnel had investigators follow her. He even has photographic evidence of her leaving a motel with another man. Despite that, he still refrained from making these things public for the sake of their children,” he said.
The manager also defended Pineda’s character, highlighting that he has never been violent toward his wife. “All I know about Arnel is that he is a very gentle person, in and out. He is incapable of being violent. What [wife] is saying about abu*e is not true,” Session added.
Industry veteran Vic Perez, a concert promoter who has worked with Pineda several times, supported this stance. “I cannot imagine Arnel lifting a finger to hurt his wife. He is one of the most gentle souls I’ve met in the industry. His demeanor is the exact opposite of what [wife] is claiming. It’s sad she would make up these stories to cover up her extramarital affairs and to take advantage of Arnel financially. That’s just foul and unacceptable.”
Despite the ongoing conflict, Session emphasized that Pineda continues to meet his responsibilities as a provider. His wife, he said, receives “at least 500,000 pesos every month” from rental income, while Pineda also pays for their children’s schooling and daily needs. He has even extended support to her children from a previous marriage.
Addressing reports about a bench warrant, Pineda’s legal team clarified that it was “procedural in nature” and had already been resolved.
Session further claimed the abu*e allegations were “financially-motivated” and designed to attract public attention. “She wants to make it a media spectacle. But Arnel doesn’t want that. He has always told me to keep it out of the public because it affects the children,” he explained.
While the legal proceedings continue in Philippine courts, Pineda is focusing on his role as a father. “Arnel never asked for this to play out in public,” Session said. “But he has proof, and if needed, he will use it. For now, he only wants peace and the chance to continue providing for his family without being bombarded by lies.”
