Desperate Mother Seeks Help for 5-Year-Old Daughter’s Treatment
A desperate mother is pleading for help for her five-year-old daughter who suffered a serious injury in a road accident.
A road accident happens on the road that causes damage, injury, or even death. It usually involves one or more vehicles, like cars, motorcycles, or trucks. These accidents can happen in different ways, such as when two vehicles crash into each other, a car hits a person crossing the street, or a driver loses control and goes off the road.
Sometimes, accidents happen because of problems with the vehicle itself, like faulty brakes or worn-out tires. Not following traffic rules, such as ignoring stop signs or red lights, also leads to many accidents.
Recently, a woman from Barangay San Jose in Puerto Princesa City is calling for financial assistance after her 5-year-old daughter, Maxine, suffered a serious injury in a road accident last June 9, 2025.
Mary Jane Paradero and her family were riding a top-down vehicle when they were hit by a tricycle driven by a 69-year-old man. The impact was strong enough to cause major injuries, with Maxine taking the worst of it. Her arm was badly crushed and required surgery.
Maxine has been confined in the hospital, still recovering from the operation. However, the family has not been able to settle the full hospital bill, which is why the child cannot yet be discharged.
Paradero is now reaching out to the public for any form of support to help them pay for the remaining balance. The family is doing everything they can, but their current resources are no longer enough to cover the hospital expenses.
