Ivana Alawi Touches Lives at Philippine Children’s Medical Center
IVANA ALAWI – Actress and vlogger Ivana Alawi gave ₱50,000 in aid to several patients, aiming to ease the burden of their medical expenses.
Kapamilya star Ivana Alawi recently paid a meaningful visit to the Philippine Children’s Medical Center (PCMC), offering financial support and bringing smiles to young patients. Her visit was documented in her latest vlog titled “Buhay Ospital.”
At the beginning of the video, Ivana clarified that the project had been prepared thoroughly and well in advance. “Since last year pa kami nag-prepare sa pagkuha ng mga permit at pagpapaalam sa lahat ng tao na makikita sa video na ito,” she explained, noting the importance of securing all necessary permissions and respecting everyone’s privacy.
During the visit, Ivana engaged with children undergoing treatment, as well as their families, doctors, and nurses. The vlog showcased the challenges these families endure—emotionally and financially. To offer relief, Ivana handed out ₱50,000 to selected patients to help ease the burden of medical expenses.
“Napakahirap kasi magkasakit. Financially, mentally, everything [damay]. Kaya ito, maliit na tulong. Na-touch nga ako kanina kasi big thing na pumunta ako dito kasi sumaya sila,” she said, expressing how deeply moved she was by the children’s happiness during her visit.
Ivana also reflected on her own experiences, realizing that her personal struggles pale in comparison to what the children are going through. “Sobrang hirap nung nakita ko ‘yung sitwasyon nila tapos ako umaarte sa mga problema ko. ‘Yung mga bata mas malaki ‘yung problema nila,” she admitted.
As a gesture of gratitude, the actress gave a brand-new phone to both a doctor and a nurse who guided her during her rounds in the hospital.
At the end of the vlog, Ivana made a heartfelt appeal to her audience: “Mabigat nakapanood ng mga ganitong kuwento pero pakiusap ko sana wag n’yo po sana i-skip ang mga ads, dahil lahat ng kikitain ng video na ito ay ido-donate natin sa Philippine Children’s Medical Center. Maraming salamat po,” she said.
Her thoughtful actions served as a reminder that compassion and generosity, no matter how small, can create a lasting impact.
