Christopher Diwata is reaping the fruit of his current popularity
Social media personality Christopher Diwata, the known look-alike of Twilight actor Taylor Lautner, was able to buy a car because of the “What hafen Vella?” trend.
Christopher went viral as netizens recalled his stint in the Kapamilya noontime show It’s Showtime years ago for the segment Kalokalike. He impersonated Taylor Lautner, specifically the actor’s character Jacob in the vampire movie.
Netizens have joined this trend and they uploaded their entries on different social media platforms. Because of this, Christopher gained social media popularity.
Many brands have been getting him as an endorser. He had TV appearances and interviews as well. Many people are enjoying his videos and expressed happiness for the success he regained after many years since he had his first TV appearance.
Based on the article in Bandera, with what he has earned from these endorsements, Christopher was able to buy a car. In a TikTok video, the social media personality’s wife Ronalyn Diwata shared a photo of their car.
“Thank you sa mga sumuporta sa asawa ko dahil po sa inyo natupad niya unti-unti pangarap niya,” Ronalyn wrote in the caption of her post.
In an interview with GMA Network, Christopher shared that he was able to buy the secondhand car because of his collaboration with a brand.
“Sa mga brands po na nakakatrabaho ko po, maraming salamat po sa pagtitiwala. At sa mga supporters ko po maraming salamat po sa mga good comment sa pagbili ko po ng kotse po para mas mapadali po ang mga lakad ko po,” he said.
Christopher Diwata also had a message to people who expressed concern because of the car brand. He said that people need not worry because nobody really knows what happen to the future, like how he never expected that he will be able to buy a car.
“Malay n’yo po bago pa ‘to masira dahil sa mga supporta n’yo eh mas malaking service na po ang mabili natin,” he added.
Christopher also wished that his supporters would get tired of supporting him and he promised that he would not change. He also thanked his fans, “Salamat po mga vela, vampire at mga ka wolf.. I love you all…Raket endorsement ryt.”
