Jessy Mendiola continued to show support for her husband Luis Manzano
Actress Jessy Mendiola has this heartwarming message for her husband Luis Manzano after failing to be elected as Batangas vice governor.
Luis is among the many celebrities who are newbies in the political arena. He was the running mate of his mom Star For All Seasons Vilma Santos, who decided to return to politics after several years of taking a break.
Luis is not totally new in the political scene in the Philippines since Vilma served several terms as representative, governor, and mayor in Lipa, Batangas. His father veteran actor Edu Manzano also had his political stint in the past.
Aside from his biological parents, Luis Manzano’s stepfather, Ralph Recto, is also among the most prominent political figures in the country. The TV host’s half-brother Ryan Recto also joined politics this year as a congressional candidate.
During the campaign events, Jessy Mendiola was there beside her husband. From the time the Kapamilya host filed his certificate of candidacy, Jessy never hesitated to show support for him.
Unfortunately, on the morning of May 13, partial and initial results showed that Luis was behind his opponent Dodo Mandanas. It was quite a big lead. Amid the results, Jessy shared a meaningful post on her Instagram Story.
The quote she shared was, “God’s plan will always be more beautiful than your disappointments. Be patient and Thank God.”
This was followed by another passage with the title, “He is Bigger,” which talked about trusting what the Almighty can do. The actress captioned with a message to Luis Manzano. “Still proud of you, @luckymanzano, I love you. [green heart emoji,” Jessy Mendiola wrote.
The Kapamilya host reposted this on his Instagram Story with the caption for his wife, “Love you [face blowing a kiss emojis].”
