Christopher de Leon and Nora Aunor have five children together. They have Ian Lotlot, Matet, Kiko, and Kenneth, but it was only Ian who is their child biologically. Lotlot, Matet, Kiko, and Kenneth are their adopted children.

To recall, Nora Aunor died at The Medical City, Pasig City, on Wednesday, April 16, 2025. She was 71, and the cause of her death, according to Ian, was acute respiratory failure. Before her death, she underwent angioplasty, a procedure done to open blocked coronary arteries caused by coronary artery disease. She did not die during the operation.

In an interview, her adopted children spoke about her, and according to them, their mother always hated it when people called them “ampon.” As per Matet, she knew about this when she was 12 years old, and one of the things she was thankful for is that if not because of Nora, her siblings would never be her siblings.

To Lotlot, their mother never treated them differently from Ian, the biological child. She would always tell them that they are from God.

For Kenneth, he also felt nothing when he was made aware of the truth. He was, instead, feeling thankful as he was led to a great mother. He said, “We’re blessed because of mom. And the one thing na natutunan ko po sa kanya is always give respect.”

Kiko also felt beyond words for having her as his mother. He even said, “Ma, kung nasaan ka man, sana sa susunod na mundo, Superstar ka pa rin. Sana, nanay ka pa rin namin.”
