Kapamilya actress Kim Chiu shared the story behind her unexpected birthday photoshoot in Dubai.
Kim has come a long way since she became part of the first teen edition of the Kapamilya reality show Pinoy Big Brother. She is now one of the most in-demand actress of her generation. Over the years, she has done remarkable projects that cemented her statust in the Philippine entertainment industry.
Her latest movie My Love Will Make You Disappear with her leading man Paulo Avelino is earning the attention of moviegoers not just in the Philippines but also abroad as they had international screenings.

Kim and Paulo’s movie had a screening in Dubai before the actress’s 35th birthday on April 19. Unexpectedly, she had her photoshoot there. In a series of Instagram posts on April 20, the Kapamilya actress shared photos and videos from that birthday shoot.
In her caption, Kim Chiu shared that initially, she had no plan or shoot for her birthday. She just wanted to have a quiet celebration at home. However, her older sister Lakam insisted that she should have one.
All thanks to my ate @kamchiu who planned everything and said, “Kailangan may picture ka, it’s your birthday!” non stop. She told me “Ako na bahala, stay put ka lang dyan. Gising ka ng maaga may susundo na sayo,‘” Kim shared.

On their last day in Dubai, the shoot happened as Lakam already settled everything. Kim woke up at 3 AM for her glam and by 4 AM the shoot started to catch the sunrise in the desert area. After that, they went straight to the airport for their flight going back to the Philippines.
“Looking at these photos now, all I can say is-O TO THE M TO THE G!!! Buti na lang talaga I have a pushy ate who can literally move mountains for me,” the actress said. With this, she could not thank her sister enough for pushing her to have this shoot.
In another post, she shared that story behind her white arabic dress. The actress said that while she was looking around a souvenir store, she saw a mannequin wearing the said outfit, and she immediately fell in love with it. “Sahara Desert princess realness, complete with a camel!” she wrote.
