Woman Grieves Untimely Death of Taxi Driver Father After Being Hit by Sleepy Motorist
A woman is grieving the sudden loss of her taxi driver father after being hit by a car driven by a sleepy motorist.
Recently, Vana Ventura Parchamento, a Facebook user, shared her heartbreak online after her father, a careful and experienced driver, lost his life due to someone else’s reckless actions. The post garnered various reactions from the online community.
Parchamento’s father had worked as a taxi driver for 40 years in Baguio. Through his job, he supported their family and served countless passengers with dedication. Despite spending decades on the road, he had never been in an accident or hit anyone. Known as a responsible driver, he took great care every time he was behind the wheel.
But all of that ended when a 22-year-old man, who had just come from a farewell party and was allegedly hungover and sleepy, crashed into him. The impact was so strong that it threw her father’s body against a concrete wall.
Vana’s father had just retired. After years of hard work, he was finally starting to enjoy life, no longer needing to drive for income because his children were ready to take care of him.
Now, that chance at peace is gone. Vana hopes justice will be served for her father, who lived a life of caution but became a victim of someone else’s carelessness.

“Taxi driver ang father ko. 40 years siyang nagserbisyo sa lungsod ng Baguio. Sa kita niya sa pagmamaneho niya kami binuhay. Nasa kalsada ang maraming taon ni Papa. Walang accident, never nakabunggo. Isang maingat na driver na inihahatid ang bawat pasahero niya. Ang mabunggo siya ng isang 22 years old na driver na galing sa dispedida party niya kasi papuntang abroad, may hangover at nakatulog daw ay grabe. Nakakadurog ng puso. Inalay ng ama ko sa maingat na pagmamaneho ang buhay niya pero namatay siya bunga ng reckless driving ng iba. Sinu naman ang mabubuhay sa lakas ng tama at naisubsub ang katawan niya sa matigas na pader. Isang senior citizen na ngayon lang inienjoy ang buhay niya dahil retired na siya. Ngayon pa lang nag eenjoy ang papa ko sa buhay niya. Ung hindi niya need magmaneho ng taxi para kumita kasi meron na kaming mga anak niya na bahala sa kanya. Pero bakit ganun. Sana lang Lord makuha ng father ko ang deserve niya na justice. Kasi hindi deserve ng father ko na mamatay sa ganun lang dahil inalay niya ang buhay niya sa maingat na pagmamaneho. Wag po kayong madrive ng lasing, may hangover, inaantok. Isang buhay na naman ang nawala dahil dito.
