Ara Mina became a trending topic on social media for a negative reason
Netizens criticized actress Ara Mina for laughing along with a politician’s “inappropriate” joke.
Ara is one of the many celebrities who joined the political arena for the 2025 elections. Years ago, she already tried her luck in politics, but she did not succeed. This year, she is running for councilor of Pasig City under the leadership of Sarah Discaya, who is running against reelectionist Mayor Vico Sotto.
Previously, Ara was asked if she thought of what could be the reaction of veteran comedian Vic Sotto that she is running with his son’s opponent. The actress said that she was sure that Bossing Vic would understand it.

Congresswoman Bernadette Herrera of Bagong Henerasyon (BH) Party-list, who is advocating for the rights of solo parents, condemned this “inappropriate” joke.
