PAGASA Says LPA to Affect PH Weather Condition
PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that a low-pressure area will bring scattered rains over parts of the country.
On Monday (March 31, 2025), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. A low-pressure area will affect the country’s weather condition.
PAGASA weather specialist Rhea Torres reported that a low-pressure area will affect Palawan on Monday, while the easterlies and northeasterly windflow will affect the other parts of the country.

A low-pressure area was last spotted at 80 km west northwest of Pag-asa Island which is outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
The LPA will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Palawan.
The northeasterly windflow will also bring cloudy skies with light rains over Batanes.

The easterlies will bring similar weather condition over Eastern Visayas, Bicol Region, Zamboanga Peninsula, Quezon, Dinagat Islands, and Surigao del Norte.
“For the rest of Luzon patuloy pa rin mararanasan ang partly cloudy to cloudy conditions kung may pagulan man ay panandalian lamang po ito na thunderstorms na mas madalas po nararanasan sa hapon o sa gabi,” Torres said.
The easterlies will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
“Sa magiging lagay naman po ng panahon for the rest of the country dahil sa epekto ng easterlies and LPA maaring maranasan pa rin po yung mga pagulan sa iilang bahagi ng Visayas at Mindanao then sa Palawan,” Torres added.
The weather agency has advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains and severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Northern Luzon will be moderate to rough. The remaining parts of the country will have slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions, according to PAGASA.
