PAGASA Says Hot Weather to Prevail Over Parts of PH

PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that hot weather is expected over parts of the country.  

On Tuesday (March 25, 2025), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The intertropical convergence zone and easterlies will affect the country’s weather conditions.

PAGASA weather specialist Chenel Dominguez reported that the Intertropical Convergence Zone will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains over southern Mindanao, Davao Region, Zamboanga Peninsula, SOCCSKSARGEN, and BARMM.

“Sa may Zamboanga Peninsula, Bangsamoro, Soccsksargen at Davao Region, asahan na makakaranas sila ng maulap na papawirin na may kalat kalat na pag ulan dulot ng ITCZ,” Dominguez said.  

Flash floods or landslides are expected in these areas due to moderate to at times heavy rains.  

The easterlies will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country. Possible flash floods or landslides are expected during severe thunderstorms.

Para sa Palawan, kabuuan ng Visayas at nalalabing bahagi ng Mindanao ay makararanas po sila ng mainit at maalinsangang tanghali hanggang hapon. Asahan ang localized thunderstorms pagdating sa hapon at sa gabi,” she explained.  

However, Luzon is expected to see hot and humid weather at noon, with chances of short rain showers in the afternoon.  

No low-pressure area or tropical cyclone was monitored inside and outside the country’s area of responsibility.  

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over the eastern section of the country will be moderate. The remaining parts of the country will have slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions, according to PAGASA.  

No gale warning was raised in any of the country’s seaboard.
