Sen. Bato dela Rosa Claims PNP Removed his Security Details after Duterte’s Arrest
BATO DELA ROSA – The Senator claimed he has no knowledge that his security details have already been recalled by the Philippine National Police (PNP).
Countless Duterte supporters in the Philippines as well as in different countries abroad call for the return of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte. He was arrested last March 11 and was flown to The Hague, Netherlands via Dubai on the same day that he was arrested.

The International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant against former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte over the accusations surrounding his war on drugs. The campaign of the Duterte administration is linked to several deaths.
The ICC welcomed the arrest of former Pres. Duterte after several years of investigation. There are speculations that the foreign court may release more arrest warrants to probe the individuals who may be linked to the drug war of the previous administration.

Sen. Bato dela Rosa tagged the arrest of Duterte as “betrayal to the max” by Pres. Bongbong Marcos. Malacañang defended the President saying he did not betray anyone and the government only did its job.

Marcos Jr. addressed the Filipino people after the plane carrying Duterte to The Hague, Netherlands has left the country. According to him, the government acted on the arrest in lieu of its commitment with the Interpol. It was tagged as a law enforcement operation headed by the Philippine National Police (PNP).

Recently, Sen. Bato dela Rosa claimed that the PNP allegedly recalled the security details assigned to him. Based on a report on Inquirer, the former PNP chief turned Senator claimed that when he returned to Davao from the campaign sorties, he no longer has security details.
“Pinapa-report na lang sila sa unit nila. Hindi ko alam kung kailan sila pina-report ha? Dahil naka-standby ‘man sila dito,” the Senator said.
Based on the report, Sen. Bato dela Rosa claimed he had no idea when his PNP security details were recalled. The PNP has yet to comment on the claim of their former chief.
“Hindi ko alam kasi nag iikot ako. Ngayon, pagdating ko rito, wala na sila. Pina-report na sila,” Dela Rosa expressed.
Amid the speculations that the ICC may also issue an arrest warrant against Sen. Bato dela Rosa, he stressed that he will not allow himself to be arrested. His recent pronouncement is undeniably contrary to his previous statement that he is ready to join former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte in The Hague and take care of him if all legal remedies fail.
