Malacañang Hits Back at VP Sara Duterte’s Claim She’s “Scammed” during 2022 Elections

Malacañang Speaks on Recent Claim of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte Seemingly against Pres. Bongbong Marcos

MALACAÑANG – Vice President Sara Duterte claimed she’s allegedly “scammed” during the 2022 Elections and it earned a reaction from the Palace.

Since Vice Pres. Duterte resigned from being the secretary of the Department of Education (DepEd) and left the Marcos cabinet, the Filipino populace has witnessed the souring relationship between her and Pres. Marcos.

Vice Pres. Duterte was even issued a subpoena by the NBI over her “threat” against Pres. Marcos, First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos, and House Speaker Martin Romualdez. According to the Vice President, she sees a point of no return on her relationship with the Chief Executive.

Duterte and Marcos made a strong tandem in the 2022 Elections. However, more than a year since they both won in the poll, the Filipinos witness her throwing tirades against the President.

Vice Pres. Duterte even rated Pres. Marcos’ governance as 1 out of 10. According to her, it is no longer her fault if the person sitting as president allegedly does not know how to be a president.

The Vice President also previously apologized to the members of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ for endorsing Marcos Jr. to them during the 2022 Elections. Her apology came amid the intense search operations of the authorities to find Pastor Apollo Quiboloy inside the KOJC compound in Davao City.

Recently, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte talked to the Filipinos anew and claimed she was scammed during the 2022 Elections. According to the Vice President, she thought that the person she’s running with wants a better country because of their platform of “unity and continuity”.

“Nadala na ako, na-scam na ako, nabudol na ako,” the Vice President said.

The statement of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte did not pass the Malacañang without a short comment. Recently, during a press briefing, Palace Press Officer Undersecretary Atty. Claire Castro raised a question following the “scammed” remark of the Vice President as per a report on GMA News.

“Isn’t it the other way around?” the Malacañang Press Officer said.
