According to Darryl Yap, it became a huge struggle to finish the Pepsi Paloma biopic.
Pepsi Paloma director Darryl Yap shares that the biopic is now finished amid the struggles and problems it encountered.
After setbacks which included an ongoing legal battle and distributors pulling out, the Pepsi Paloma movie is now finished and will be ready for review. This is according to the biopic’s director Darryl Yap.
As much as we all know, Eat Bulaga host Vic Sotto filed 19 counts of cyber libel against Yap whose film trailer clearly mentioned his name accusing him of assaulting the late actress. It seeks a total damage of Php 35 million and prior to this, on January 7, the camp of Sotto filed a petition to issue the writ of habeas data which was already granted by the court.
Amid the struggles and challenges met while working on the film, it is now finished. Yap, in his recent Facebook post, shared that while filming, distributors pulled out, permits for songs to be used were taken back, and other problems occurred.
But despite these things that happened, they reached the finish line and he expressed his gratitude to those who continuously put their support on the project and those who have put their trust in him.
“Maaaring kulang sa pera at koneksyon—pero hindi kami kapos sa tapang at paninindigan. We have finished the film tonight. It will be ready for review,” he added.

Meanwhile, last week, Yap and Sotto met in court for the hearing of the writ of habeas data petitioned by the actor-host’s camp.
