The MMFF 2024 movie of Vice Ganda features the MaThon loveteam
A press conference for the movie And The Breadwinner Is led by Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda will not include loveteam partners Maris Racal and Anthony Jennings.
The MaThon loveteam is among the cast members of Vice’s Metro Manila Film Festival 2024 entry. Maris and Anthony have been featured in different projects and endorsements after their onscreen partnership in Can’t Buy Me Love became a hit.
They officially became a loveteam known as MaThon from the SnoRene tandem which was coined from their first series together.
However, the sudden success of Maris Racal and Anthony Jennings as a loveteam is currently facing a controversy. It is because of their intimate conversations that were revealed by Anthony’s ex-girlfriend Jam Villanueva.
This controversy is believed to be the reason why Maris and Anthony were not included in the press conference, based on the article in PEP.
In the recent Facebook post of The IdeaFirst Company, the producer of And The Breadwinner Is, it can be seen that Maris and Anthony were not part of the publication material intended to announce the press conference and the attendees.
The “Grand Media Day” for Vice’s MMFF entry this year is set to happen on December 5, at 6 PM. Vice’s photo is in the center while both sides featured Eugene Domingo, Gladys Reyes, and Jhong Hilario. At the bottom part, other supporting cast members were featured.
Entertainment writer Jojo Gabinete said that this is no need for an explanation as to why Maris and Anthony were not included here and this is because of their current negative image after the actor’s ex-girlfriend revealed their intimate conversations. For Gabinete, this controversy will not help Vice Ganda’s movie promotion. As of this writing, Maris and Anthony haven’t spoken yet about this controversy.
