PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Friday (November 22, 2024)
PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that amihan and easterlies will bring scattered rains over parts of the country.
On Friday (November 22, 2024), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The northeast monsoon and the easterlies will affect the country’s weather conditions.
PAGASA weather specialist Rhea Torres reported that amihan and easterlies will be affecting extreme Northern Luzon while the easterlies will affect the rest of the country.
“Dulot ng epekto ng northeast monsoon o hanging amihan, posible ang makulimlim na panahon na may kasamang mahihinang pag-ulan, pag-ambon sa area ng Batanes at Babuyan Islands,” Torres said.
The easterlies will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Caraga, Davao Region, and Southern Leyte.
“Sa areas po ng southern Leyte, Caraga, at Davao region, maaaring makaranas ng makulimlim na panahon na may kasamang kalat-kalat na pag-ulan, pagkidlat, at pagkulog,” Torres explained.
The northeast monsoon will bring cloudy skies with light rains over Batanes and Babuyan Islands.
The easterlies will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
“Sa nalalabing bahagi ng Visayas, Mindanao, at Palawan, possible ang fair weather conditions. Mainit sa tanghali at may posibilidad na biglaan at panandaliang buhos ng ulan dulot ng thunderstorms sa hapon at gabi,” she added.
The weather agency has advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains and severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over northern Luzon will be moderate to rough. Slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions are expected over the remaining parts of the country, according to PAGASA.
