Boy Abunda had this comment about his interview with Ai-Ai delas Alas
King of Talk Boy Abunda shared that the breakup between Comedy Concert Queen Ai-Ai delas Alas and her husband Gerald Sibayan is the most hurtful breakup interview for him.
Ai-Ai and Boy have been friends for many years already. The King of Talk also served as the comedienne’s manager. Following the rumors about the status of her relationship with her husband, Ai-Ai confirmed their breakup on Boy’s talk show.
Before the proper interview commenced, Boy greeted Ai-Ai for her birthday and made her blow the candle of her cake.
Ai-Ai delas Alas shared how Gerald Sibayan broke up with her and the reason he gave to her for ending their relationship. She shared that her husband was no longer happy with their relationship and he wanted a child. The comedienne was also asked if she doubted Gerald’s love after the breakup.
While crying, the comedienne said that she tried her best to fulfill her duty as a wife to Gerald and they tried the in vitro fertilization. Ai-Ai even said she had to go to the US every ten days just to be with Gerald since she still has a contract with GMA and had to do her showbiz engagements.
“Ang hirap talaga. Actually, nagkaroon ako ng eye twitching dahil siguro sa sobrang jetlag, pabalik-balik, para makasama ko siya at para masabi ko na kahit papaano, kahit malayo ako, ginagawa ko pa rin ang mga obligasyon ko as a wife,” she shared.
Hearing this breakup story of Ai-Ai, Boy could not help but feel emotional as well. The King of Talk has interviewed the comedienne in her past breakups but for him, this is the most hurtful.
The TV host said that it is because Ai-Ai is quiet. She said that she does not want to create noise unlike what she did in her past breakups. “Ayoko na maging makalat,” she said.
Ai-Ai delas Alas said that as much as possible, she just wanted to be quiet but she decided to speak about the breakup because, for her, the public deserves to know the truth.
The comedienne added that it is more easy to tell the truth than to hide what really happened. “Mahirap magsinungaling. Truth is easier. So, at least ngayon, parang freedom,” she said.
