The camp of Sandro Muhlach criticized the legal counsel of Jojo Nones and Richard Cruz
Atty. Czarina Quintanilla-Raz, the lawyer of Kapuso actor Sandro Muhlach, slammed Atty. Maggie Abraham Garduque, the legal counsel of GMA independent contractors Jojo Nones and Richard Cruz.
Sandro officially filed his r@pe complaint against Nones and Cruz. The independent contractors have already filed their counter affidavit. Based on the article in PEP, DOJ’s resolution regarding the complaint filed by Sandro is being awaited but the management of GMA is still investigating this case.
Last September 16, Nones and Cruz faced the fact-finding committee that GMA formed for the investigation. Prior to this, Sandro already faced that committee.
After facing the committee, Nones and Cruz’s legal counsel sent a message to PEP saying that her clients were “able to tell the true account of the story, kung ano talaga ang ginawa ni Sandro sa loob ng kuwarto as opposed to the story of Sandro which is not only based on human nature and natural course of things but not supported with evidence.”
She also said that they gave GMA a copy of the counter-affidavit they filed to the DOJ. Atty Garduque also mentioned that claims made by Sandro regarding the illegal substance but the drug test turned out to be negative and that he was restrained inside the room but was still able to send messages to his friend and girlfriend.
Nones and Cruz’s lawyer also mentioned the medico-legal which contradicted Sandro’s claim that he was r@ped.
For Atty. Czarina Quintanilla-Raz, Atty. Garduque is sending misleading and self-serving statements to the media. Their camp is also criticizing Nones and Cruz’s legal counsel for her “continuous unauthorized disclosure of information and misleading details surrounding Sandro’s Complaint and the ongoing proceedings before the DOJ.”
Atty. Raz also stressed that Sandro wasn’t aggressive when he saw Nones and Cruz at the DOJ. She said that the 23-year-old actor crying and shaking at that time. She added that the personnel inside the DOJ office can confirm that Sandro was anxious, distressed, and scared during the moment he saw his alleged abusers again.
“We condemn Atty. Garduque’s continuous disclosure of evidence to the media and her obviously skewed and one-sided presentation to the media of allegations pertaining to the case,” the lawyer of Sandro Muhlach said.
Atty. Raz also stressed that Atty Garduque should refrain from disclosing information about the case because this will affect the integrity of the proceedings and it will also violate the due process rights of all parties involved.
