Aubrey Miles shared something about her role in ‘Shining Inheritance’
90s star Aubrey Miles revealed that the role as Kyline Alcantara’s mother in a series was offered to her three times.
Aubrey is part of the new Kapuso afternoon drama series Shining Inheritance which is the Pinoy adaptation of the hit 2009 Korean drama series with the same title. In the series, she plays the character of Sonia, the mother of Joanna (Kyline) and Euan (Michael Sager).
They belong to a rich family that owns a food corporation. The company is led by Aurea De La Costa played by veteran actress Coney Reyes.
In a recent press conference for this new series, based on the article in The Philippine Star, Aubrey Miles revealed that she has been offered to portray the role of Kyline Alcantara’s mother thrice.
“Laging ino-offer sa akin na maging anak ko si Kyline Alcantara tatlong beses na ata,” she shared. Aubrey did not reveal those two first projects but she said that one was offered during the pandemic.
It was a lock-taping and as a hands-on mom, she refused the offer. The actress gave birth to her second child with her husband Troy Montero in 2018. A lockdown was declared in the Philippines in March 2020.
Aubrey said that accepting her role in Shining Inheritance is the right time for her to play the role of Kyline’s mother. For her, it was meant that she would portray the young actress’s mom onscreen.
“That’s why eto talaga sabi ko. This is worth it, and also alam ko, maganda itong show na ito. I can feel it,” Aubrey Miles shared.
Shining Inheritance airs every weekday afternoon and the cast also includes Paul Salas, Kate Valdez, Wendell Ramos, Glydel Mercado, Aubrey Miles, Roxie Smith, Gio Alvarez, Dave Bornea, and many more.
