APOLLO QUIBOLOY – The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) announced that the Pastor will stay at the PNP Custodial Center while his co-assured will be in Pasig Jail.
Pastor Quiboloy, the founder and leader of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ, is one of the high-profile individuals with arrest warrants who were recently nabbed by the authorities. However, prior to his arrest, the authorities had to conduct intensified search operations.
Quiboloy is faced with several charges not only in the Philippines but as well as the United States. The arrest of Pastor Quiboloy came after more than two (2) weeks of intensified Philippine National Police operations at the KOJC compound in Davao City.
The search operations conducted by the authorities included drilling operations. The authorities believed that the Pastor may be hiding in a bunker after their radar detected a heartbeat underground.
Prior to his arrest, the camp of Quiboloy aired the Pastor’s condition for President Bongbong Marcos for his surrender to the authorities. The Philippine government seemingly did not give in.
After over two (2) weeks of massive PNP operations at the KOJC compound, Pastor Apollo Quiboloy was arrested by the PNP authorities. He is currently under the custody of the Philippine National Police.
The camp of Quiboloy admitted wanting a transfer of his custody or a house arrest. According to his legal counsel and KOJC spokesperson Attorney Israelito Torreon, they wanted the custody of the Pastor to be transferred to the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) citing security reasons.
Torreon also said they might seek a house arrest for Quiboloy considering his age. The founder and leader of KOJC is currently 74 years old.
Recently, Pastor Apollo Quiboloy and his co-accused were brought to Pasig Court where they all plead not guilt. Following the proceedings, the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology announced that the Pastor will remain in Camp Crame.
