Bea Alonzo talked about her relationship with her mom
Kapuso actress Bea Alonzo said that even though she became the breadwinner of her family, her dynamics with her mom never changed.
Bea started her career in the Philippine entertainment industry when she was just a teenager. With her acting prowess, her career soared high. Aside from being an actress, Bea also became an endorser for top companies.
With her A-list status, she was able to abundantly provide for her family, especially for her mom Mary Ann.
Despite that she was the one providing for her family’s needs, Bea Alonzo said that her mother remained as the mother in their household.
The A-list actress was featured in the recent episode of King of Talk Boy Abunda’s My Mother, My Story. Bea shared that her mom was strict and would even spank them. However, she revealed that her mom would also cry every time she would spank them and would do something to cheer them up after.
When Bea was asked if she would also become a strict mother, she said that she would be. Looking back, the actress said that if not because of her mother’s strictness, she probably will have a different personality now.
The Kapuso star shared that her mother is their authority at home and even though she was already providing, she was still listening to her mother’s advice. “I’ve seen actors and actresses na dahil naging breadwinner na sila, they would call the shots in their family but you’re very young so, you don’t know any better,” she said.
Bea highlighted that her mom’s strictness helped their dynamics. “Sa pamilya naman, the dynamic never changed. She was still the mother, even though I was providing,” she said.
When she was already earning, their mother made sure that they would be able to handle their finances well and that they should spend the money wisely. Now, Bea Alonzo was able to give her mother businesses that she handles on her own.
