Miss Abara is the Binibining Pilipinas 2024 winner
The recently concluded Binibining Pilipinas 2024 coronation night hailed a new set of queens that will represent the country in the international beauty pageants.
Forty (40) candidates from different cities and provinces in the Philippines competed with the hope of bringing home the title. After the preliminary competitions and activities, as well as, the presentation during the coronation night, the national pageant crowned the new queens.
Aside from being hailed as the Binibining Pilipinas International 2024, Myrna Esguerra also won the Best in Swimsuit and Best in Evening Gown awards.
Miss Pampanga Jasmin Bungay won the Binibining Globe 2024 while Christal dela Cruz from Zambales was crowned as the first runner-up and the second runner-up was Trisha Martinez representing Pila, Laguna.
This is the 60th edition of the prestigious national pageant and the coronation night became a reunion of queens.
Among the judges were Rhea Tan (Beautiderm CEO), Bea Rose Santiago (Ms. International 2013), Fifi Sharma, Pia Wurtzbach (Miss Universe 2015), Gloria Diaz (Miss Universe 1969), Andrea Rubio (Ms. International 2023), Margie Moran (Miss Universe 1973) at Conchitina Bernardo (chairman of the board of judges).
Based on the article in Inquirer, Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. (BPCI) awarded its biggest cash prize ever. The two queens, Esguerra and Bungay became instant millionaires while the first and second runner-ups received P400,000 each.
The sixth decade of the pageant became a celebration also as more than one hundred (100) former winners assembled on stage. During the coronation night, a portion was dedicated to queens who already passed away.
The Binibining Pilipinas 2024 coronation night was hosted by Catriona Gray (Miss Universe 2018), Kylie Verzosa (Miss International 2016), Nicole Cordoves (Miss Grand International first runner-up 2016), MJ Lastimosa (Binibining Pilipinas Universe 2014), and Ruffa Gutierrez (Miss World Princess 1993).
