Miel Pangilinan shared her thoughts on cyberbullying
Celebrity Miel Pangilinan, the daughter of Sharon Cuneta and Kiko Pangilinan, reacted to the cyber libel case filed by her parents against veteran showbiz insider Cristy Fermin.
Sharon and Kiko filed a cyber libel case against Cristy on May 10. In a statement, the Megastar said that the negativity was already too much. They cried foul over the negative statements being discussed on Cristy’s show.
The actress-singer also pointed out that her children were affected by this negativity. She said that amid the issues, there was no instance when Cristy reached out to them to ask for their side of the story or clarify things.
In a recent interview with ABS-CBN, Miel Pangilinan was asked about the decision of her parents to take legal action against Cristy Fermin.
“A lot of these things that are being spread around by this person that my mom filed a case against, it leads to pretty much a lot of negative comments me and my siblings,” Miel shared.
She also said that people saying negative things about them rarely see them in a good light. As the issues continued to rise, viewers of Cristy’s show ended up coming to her and her sister and they would say hate comments.
“It affects us also. Parang dinamay pa kami,” the celebrity said. She also said that her mom is ready to do what it takes to protect them.
“Obivously, my mom she’s gonna do everything to defend her kids. It was kind of her, that was her tipping point,” she shared.
When it comes to the worst comment she read about her, Miel Pangilinan said that it was from a basher who said that she is a waste of genes. She also said that she gets this kind of comment a lot and a lot of negative comments come from those who do not know her.
