Tragic Incident on Christmas Day: Man Lost His Life in Violent Altercation in Manila
A man lost his life after being brutally attacked in Sampaloc, Manila in the middle of a violent altercation on Christmas Day.
The victim named Molan Villamor, found himself in the middle of a violent altercation after confronting his drinking buddy, who allegedly disrespected a woman. He lost his life during the intense commotion.
According to police investigations, four out of the five suspects involved in the incident have been apprehended, including the woman who was reportedly insulted by Villamor’s group as they passed through Sulucan Street.
Manila Police District homicide division head PCpt. Dennis Turla stated that the CCTV footage captured the commotion when Villamor’s group approached the woman to apologize.
The woman reportedly attempted to strike the victim with a bottle of alcohol and kicked him while he lay helpless on the street.
In her defense, the woman claimed that she was just overwhelmed by her emotions.
Another suspect insisted that their intention was not to kill Villamor.
Villamor’s relatives are now calling for justice, expressing deep sorrow over the tragic incident. “It’s painful. It wasn’t his fault; he just wanted to apologize. And then he ended up in harm’s way,” said Darwin Domingo, a witness and cousin of the victim.
