Wally Bayola received criticism after cursing on-air
Comedian-host Wally Bayola apologized for his “pagmumura” on TV5’s noontime show E.A.T and admitted that what he did was wrong.
Wally spent a lot of years already in the entertainment industry. He is known for his unique humor along with his frequent skit partner Jose Manalo. Throughout his career, it is inevitable that he would get involved in certain controversies.
Just recently, the comedian-host was criticized by netizens for saying inappropriate words on air.
Live shows are mandated to avoid saying certain unallowed terms. This is one of the challenges that the hosts and show performers should face when they are on-air.
Wally apparently forgot that fact. On August 10, Thursday, the comedian-host said, “P*t*ng*na” live on-air. Netizens slammed him for that and even social media personality Rendon Labador called the attention of the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) regarding this matter.
The noontime show addressed this issue on Friday, August 11, based on the article in Inquirer .
Then, Jose called his fellow host. Wally Bayola entered and acknowledged the mistake that he did.
Wally also apologized to veteran hosts Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon. Jose once again apologized and promised that they will not do that mistake again.
After that, Bossing Vic stressed the importance of acknowledging the mistake and rectifying what was wrong.
Meanwhile, before this incident, Jose Manalo also received criticism for his supposed “racist” comment.
