JM Canlas died at 17 and his brother Elijah Canlas has this emotional post.

Award-winning actor Elijah Canlas has this post about his younger brother JM Canlas who died at the age of 17.

Late actor JM Canlas is the brother of Elijah Canlas, also an actor. He starred in films Kiko Boksingero (2017) and ANi (2019). He was also a part of Unconditional (2020), a television series.

In a previous article, JM Canlas’ family sadly announced his sudden passing.

He was just 17 and he was struggling with his mental health when he was still alive. However, in the post, the family decided not to disclose the reason that has taken away the life of their “bunso”.

JM was also a voice actor. He has lent his voice to local cartoons such as Jet and the Pet Rangers and to the Filipino dubbing of the popular Netflix series Stranger Things. His first-ever showbiz stint was in Team Yey back in 2016. At that time, he was just 10 years old.

As how his brother has described him, he was multifaceted. He was known as a talented actor, athlete, musician, singer, debater, and gamer. He was also an incredible young man, son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, student, and friend.

JM passed away five months after turning 17 years old.

And recently, finally breaking his silence is Elijah Canlas who expressed his love for his late brother.

He shared the original post announcing his younger brother’s demise where he expressed that there’s much to be said but chooses to say this instead: “Rest well, pinakamamahal kong JM.”

The actor added, “Walang hanggang patawad at pasasalamat para sa lahat. Mahal na mahal ka namin. Mahal na mahal ka ni kuya. I love you forever and always.”

Elijah also thanked the people in his Facebook post for their prayers and well wishes.
