Isko Moreno shared his thoughts on It’s Showtime’s airing on GTV
Kapuso noontime show Eat Bulaga host Isko Moreno said that it is a healthy competition that Kapamilya noontime show It’s Showtime will be aired on GTV starting July 1.
Due to the preference of TV5 to give the noontime slot to Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, Joey de Leon and the legit Dabarkads, the Kapamilya noontime show had to find a new home. It’s Showtime and TV5’s contract will expire on June 30.
The Kapatid network opted to offer It’s Showtime a new timeslot but it declined. ABS-CBN reached out to GMA and the deal happened.
In line with GTV’s decision to air It’s Showtime, Isko Moreno shared his reaction, based on the article in GMA Entertainment. “I’m happy for our people, why? Dami nilang option ngayon. Kumbaga sa hotel, buffet!” the former Manila Mayor said.
He also said that the friendly competition between the noontime shows in the Philippines will actually be helpful because it will bring out the best in everyone.
“Marami ng option ang tao and competition brings the best out of everybody. So, if everyone is doing their best so masaya ako para sa mga kababayan natin,” Isko added.
He also said that in their own little way in Eat Bulaga, they will do their best and it is a big thing having the support from the management of GMA.
Isko also said that he wishes everyone good luck and stressed that there is no monopoly in the noontime show. He pointed out that the bottom line is that it will be beneficial for the audience because shows are becoming better.
“If the answer is affirmative, then, I’m happy and humbled to have that kind of opportunity to offer good entertainment in noontime,” Isko Moreno said.
