Justice Secretary Remulla Takes 10-day Wellness Leave from DOJ
Department of Justice (DOJ) secretary Jesus Crispin “Boying” Remulla takes 10-day wellness leave due to personal reasons.
According to the DOJ, Remulla will go on a ten-day wellness leave beginning immediately. The DOJ stated that Remulla’s request for a ten-day leave was for personal reasons.
“We want to assure the public that the DOJ remains committed to upholding the rule of law and ensuring that justice is served. Our officials and employees will continue to work diligently and fulfill their respective responsibilities to ensure that the operations of our department run smoothly during the Secretary’s absence,” said the DOJ.
It further stated that Remulla’s absence would have no effect on the department’s operations. Based on the report, Remulla further stated that while he was on leave, he named Justice Undersecretary Raul T. Vasquez as DOJ officer-in-charge for ten days.
“Rest assured that the DOJ will continue to carry out its vital functions and responsibilities, including the protection of the rights of every Filipino citizen, without any interruption,” it added.
“We kindly ask for your understanding and respect for the Secretary’s privacy during this time. We look forward to the Secretary’s return and his continued service to the DOJ and the Filipino people,” the DOJ said.
It further stated that Remulla’s absence would have no effect on the department’s operations. Remulla further stated that while he was on leave, he named Justice Undersecretary Raul T. Vasquez as DOJ officer-in-charge for ten days.
