5 Teenagers Trying to Sell Car Allegedly Stolen Arrested in Laguna

Police authorities arrested five (5) teenagers who allegedly tried to sell a car that was reportedly stolen in Biñan, Laguna.

Biñan City Police launched an investigation after a gang of youngsters allegedly stole and attempted to sell an automobile. According to Lt. Col. Virgilio Jopia, chief of the Bian City police, the suspects were apprehended at 6:30 p.m. at the Phoenix Fuel Station in Barangay Canlalay, Bian City.

The suspects were all identified as residents of the stated region, according to the report. According to Jopia, the owner of the car came to their office on June 17 to report that the suspect had kidnapped it.

The Laguna Provincial Highway Patrol Team and the Regional Highway Patrol Unit 4-A Motorcycle Team immediately initiated a hot pursuit operation with the Laguna-PNP. The suspects were apprehended as a result of the operation.

The victim’s stolen Toyota Altis and iPhone 12 Promax were found by authorities. They were taken into custody by the Department of Social Welfare and Development-Bahay Pag-Asa and are being charged with violating Republic Act 10883 (the New Anti-Carnapping Law of 2016).
