Tito Sotto Says 95% Of Eat Bulaga Production Staff Will Be Moving To TV5
EAT BULAGA – Former Senator Vicente “Tito” C. Sotto III disclosed that 95% of the “Eat Bulaga” production staff will be going to TV5.
Eat Bulaga, which has been on television for 44 years, is presently going through a lot of issues. Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon, the three pillars of the program, announced their separation from Television and Production Exponent (TAPE) Inc. on May 31.
Tito was the first member of the Eat Bulaga hosts’ camp to address the problems with the program and TAPE Inc. The former Senate president spoke after Bullet Jalosjos, the chief financial officer of TAPE spoke on Fast Talk.
Tito Sotto and his fellow hosts Vic Sotto and Joey de Leon, as well as other hosts of the show, resigned from TAPE. The show was resumed by TAPE on June 5 with a new lineup of hosts, including Paolo Contis, Betong Sumaya, Buboy Villar, Legaspi Twins, and Alexa Miro, following the mass resignation.
TVJ and other hosts of Eat Bulaga have become Kapatids. The trio and the Dabarkads have a deal to produce content for TV5 and other MediaQuest platforms, according to a statement made by TV5’s MediaQuest Holdings Inc. recently.
The CEO and President of MediaQuest, Jane Basas, expressed her gratitude to TVJ for agreeing to collaborate with them. In an interview with TV5’s “Frontline Pilipinas,” Tito Sotto disclosed that they are bringing 95% of the “Eat Bulaga” production team to TV5.
The politician-host stated that their new TV show on TV5 will begin airing in the first week of July or earlier. “95 percent ng involved sa production, including the hosts, ay kasama namin,” he said.
Tito added that their new residence will be the TV5 studio.
