How did the new Eat Bulaga do based on ratings?

EAT BULAGA – The noontime show has introduced new hosts for Eat Bulaga and this is their rating on their first day.

The new EB hosts are Paolo Contis, Legaspi twins Cassy and Mavy, Betong Sumaya, Buboy Villar, and Alexa Miro. On their first day as hosts, Kapuso versatile actor Kokoy De Santos and the P-pop girl group XOXO were the special guests.

They replaced TVJ and other hosts such as Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola, Paolo Ballesteros, Allan K, Ryan Agoncillo, Ryzza Mae Dizon, and Maine Mendoza who followed TVJ when they announced their departure from the show.

However, the new set of hosts was seemingly not welcomed warmly on social media, especially Contis due to his issues with his children and Miro due to her connections.

Amid the backlash over the new set of hosts, what could be the outcome of their first based on television ratings?

In a report from PEP, prior to the revamp and amid the raging rumors, EB reached 6.8% to 7.5% and it could even climb to 7.8%. Its rival noontime show It’s Showtime would often just make 2% in ratings.

However, on May 31, when TVJ made an important announcement, EB scored from 5.5% to 5.2% while Showtime achieved over 3% in ratings. To recall, on May 31, a replay was shown on television while the TVJ made their announcement through live streaming on social media.

EB – 5.2%
Showtime – 3.2%

Meanwhile, TVJ is bound to announce where their new home would be. Accordingly, they may have a new home next month. By June 7, they will be ready to announce this to the public.
