Kim Chiu had this memorable experience when she was in grade school
It’s Showtime host Kim Chiu shared her experience during Grade 6 when she cried in the comfort room which led to her decision not to go to school for two weeks.
Kim has been very open about her life. The Philippine entertainment industry has witnessed her maturity over the years since the time she started her career through Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition.
One of the personal stories that Kim shared in a recent interview was what happened to her during grade school, based on the article in Bandera.
Kim Chiu said that it was about her first monthly period. For the actress, it is difficult for many women to forget the first time when they got their period. In Kim’s case, what happened was something embarrassing.
She said that while in school, she did not know that there was already a stain on the back of her school uniform since it was her first time. “Pinagtatawanan ako ng mga classmate ko sa likod. Tapos tawa sila nang tawa sabi ko bakit ano ang nangyayari? Tapos nalaman ko na nga,” the Kapamilya star said.
Because of what happened, she went immediately to the comfort room and stayed there for quite a while. “Iyak ako ng iyak sa comfort room. Hindi na ako lumalabas. Hindi talaga ako pumasok ng mga dalawang linggo. Hindi ko talaga alam paano i-handle,” Kim chared.
With this experience, the Chinita Princess said that she did not hesitate to accept the offer to be the endorser of a sanitary pad brand. Kim Chiu said that she believes in the advocacy of the brand to address the problems of women when it comes to their monthly period.
