Bright Lights Resembling UFO, Green Lights Spotted in Zamboanga

A streak of light resembling an unidentified flying object (UFO) was spotted in Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur. In Zamboanga City, green lights were also observed in the sky.

A slow-moving streak of light can be seen traversing the sky. However, the astronomy division of PAGASA (Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration) explained that it could possibly be a meteor, space debris, or a phenomenon known as “light pillars” caused by ice crystals above the clouds.

Regarding the green lights in the sky, PAGASA further clarified that they are called light pillars, which are caused by ice crystals reflecting light. These occurrences are rare in the Philippines but are more commonly observed in colder regions.

The sightings of these unusual lights have captured the attention and curiosity of local residents. Many speculated about the nature and origin of these phenomena, with some suggesting extraterrestrial activity or otherworldly encounters.

However, the explanations provided by PAGASA shed light on the scientific basis behind these sightings.

While it is natural for people to be fascinated by such phenomena, it is important to rely on scientific explanations and understanding.

PAGASA, as the country’s authority on atmospheric and astronomical matters, plays a crucial role in providing accurate and reliable information to the public.

The fascination with the unknown will always captivate human imagination, but it is through scientific understanding and exploration that we can unravel the secrets of the universe and appreciate the awe-inspiring phenomena that occur in our skies.
