EAT BULAGA – Production company TAPE Incorporated released an official statement after Eat Bulaga announced its departure.
In a previous article, Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon announced that the longest-running noontime show Eat Bulaga is leaving the production company TAPE Incorporated.
After the meetings and negotiations, this was the decision they ended up with.
Celebs react to TVJ parting ways with TAPE Inc. and they expressed sad reactions over this seems like an end-of-an-era event. And in a statement released on Thursday, the production company expressed sadness over the turn of events.
“TAPE, INC. is saddened by the turn of events yesterday, May 31, but we respect the decision of the hosts to leave Eat Bulaga and GMA 7 Network, which has been their home for 28 years,” the statement read. It furthered that it is “unfortunate, but life must go on”.
The company also expressed gratitude to all the “men and women who worked tirelessly for the past 43 years to make our noontime show number one”. It stressed that the success is not just dependent only on three people but on the “collaborative efforts of everyone including the viewers.
“Abangan ninyo ang mga bagong magpapasaya at magpapatibok ng ating mga puso. Aasahan ninyo ang mas masaya, mas nakakaaliw at higit pa sa isang libo’t isang tuwa na Eat Bulaga. Patuloy ang Dabarkads na maglilingkod para sa inyo, mga Kapuso mula Aparri hanggang Jolo at sa buong mundo.”
The statement ended with a note saying that the hosts leaving the show is not something that could stop the world.
After TVJ announced their departure, other hosts Maine Mendoza, Paolo Ballesteros, and Ryan Agoncillo also filed their resignations.
