MJ Quiambao Slams PBBM Admin Plan P40-B ‘Food Stamp” for Poor Filipinos
Pro-Duterte supporter MJ Quiambao opposes the plan of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr (PBBM) admin about food stamp for poor Filipinos.
On Facebook, MJ expresses her opposition to the Marcos administration’s proposed P40-B ‘food stamp’ program. MJ recalled a Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (or 4Ps) beneficiary who refused to work because the money they received from the government was sufficient.
“Marami raw sa kanila ay ayaw ng mag banat ng buto. Umaasa na lamang sa 4Ps. Ayaw na’ng mag tanim, ayaw mangisda, at ayaw na rin mamasukan. Pa tong-its tong-its na lang at pa-barik barik ang ilan. Pinagkakasya ang natatanggap na ayuda. Yung iba, sinasadya pa nga raw magparami ng anak para mas malaki ang matanggap,” said Reyes.
According to her post, the government’s proposed food stamp program will encourage the impoverished to rely even more on the government. She hopes that the government will dedicate more resources to more sustainable livelihood programs so that Filipinos at the bottom can truly ascend.
“Sana mas paglaanan natin ng resources ang mga mas sustainable livelihood programs para totoong umangat ang mga kababayan nating nasa laylayan – at hindi masanay sa paghingi o pagtanggap lang ng ayuda (na minsan o madalas ay kapalit ng kanilang boto),” she said.
“Sana ang bilyones na pondo ay mas gamitin para maturuan ng makabagong teknolohiya at matulungan ang ating mga magsasaka at mangingisda. Mag invest sa mga cold storage facilities, farm to market roads, onsite processing facilities per region, and the likes. Sana mas gamitin ang pondo para tulungan rin na makapag bukas ng mga pabrika sa iba’t ibang lugar to help generate jobs. Tulungan natin silang tumayo sa sariling mga paa,” she added.
According to Reyes, the government should stop providing assistance to the underprivileged without expecting anything in return. “Please, let’s not encourage mendicancy,” she said emphatically.

I think it’s a great ! A good idea to help the improvised citizens!! That’s the government problem they don’t do nothing to help but complain about how it will make people dependant on the government haha BS people are suffering and all the government does is sit back and watch!! It’s because the people running the government putting all the money in there pocket and there family pockets!! That’s why there’s no medical help for under privileged people that can’t afford health insurance it ashame here in Philippines
