Joshua Garcia Reaction On Being Called Next John Lloyd Cruz
JOSHUA GARCIA – Kapamilya actor Joshua Garcia shared his reaction to being called the next John Lloyd Cruz.
Joshua Espineli Garcia better known by his stage name Joshua Garcia is a Filipino actor, dancer, and model. He started his professional acting career in 2015 following his participation as a contestant on the reality show Pinoy Big Brother: All In.
He became well-known for his critically lauded roles in the top-grossing film “Vince and Kath and James” from the 2016 Metro Manila Film Festival and the primetime drama series “The Good Son.”
Joshua Garcia was seen live last Thursday on GMA Network during his interview with King of Talk Boy Abunda. Aside from his upcoming series on GMA, Unbreak My Heart, one of the things he and Boy talked about was the frequent comparison between him and award-winning actor John Lloyd Cruz.
Cruz is considered one of the most talented and versatile actors in Philippine showbiz. He made his debut in the entertainment industry in 1999 as the lead in a teen drama. He eventually made appearances in a number of drama series, garnering him the title “matinee idol.”

In Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, Joshua Garcia shared his thoughts on being called the next John Lloyd Cruz. According to Joshua, he is honored to be called the next JLC but he also wants to have his own image in the industry.
“I’m honored na matawag na bilang [next] John Lloyd Cruz, nakatulong din siya sa karera ko na tinatawag nila akong ganun pero siyempre nandoon ako sa gusto ko ring i-prove na may sarili ako,” he said.
Boy immediately asked Joshua, “But while that is being said, na-bother ka ba o na-flatter?”
“Sobrang flattering e, na parang gusto ko na lang maglaho ng parang bula,” answered Joshua.
Joshua said he and John LLoyd never discussed this matter. “Hindi Tito Boy e, everytime na nagkikita kami kumustahan lang,” he said.
