Regine Velasquez had a movie that featured Manila Central Post Office

Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez shared a heartfelt post about the Manila Central Post Office that was featured in her movie Ikaw Lamang Hanggan Ngayon.

The said movie was released in 2002 and featured Richard Gomez as Regine’s leading man. It was directed by Yam Laranas and the story revolves around the lives of a bachelor who wants to get married and a bored postal worker who wishes to find her man.

In an Instagram post on May 23, Regine shared a screenshot of a scene that she did in the movie. Her character is sitting on a beach in front of the Manila Central Post Office.

Katherine is Regine Velasquez’s character in the romantic drama film. In the caption of her post, she talked about her character and her workplace in the movie. “Ano na kaya mangyayari kay Katherine at sa iba pang naging bahagi ng Manila Central Post Office,” she wrote and it was followed by a crying face emoji.

She also shared that this place is memorable to her and through this, she was able to meet friends. “Naging bahagi ng buhay ko ang Post Office napasok ko at nakakilala rin ng mga kaibigan duon. The Manila Central Post Office was a Historical land mark it’s so sad that this happened,” the Asia’s Songbird said.

This post that Regine shared included a photo of the burning post office that happened on the morning of May 22, Monday. Based on reports several firefighters were hurt as they bravely stopped the fire.

Because of this devastating incident, many people shared online that they are saddened that a historical building was devoured by fire. Following the incident, netizens talked about their National IDs which might have been burned.
