Gabbi Garcia values her friendship with Julia Barretto
Kapuso actress Gabbi Garcia revealed that she talked to Kapamilya actress Julia Barretto about working with Kapamilya actor Joshua Garcia in the series Unbreak My Heart.
Gabbi and Julia have been friends since they were in high school as they attended St. Paul College together. Joshua is Julia’s ex-boyfriend and their relationship lasted for two years. They were onscreen partners also before and they were known as the JoshLia loveteam.
This year, Gabbi and Joshua had the chance to work together on a project that is a partnership between their home networks.
In a recent interview, based on the article in Inquirer, Gabbi Garcia revealed that she had “pasintabi” to Julia Barretto before she started shooting the said series with Joshua Garcia.
The Kapuso actress shared that she called her friend when the project was mentioned to her. Before she left for Europe to shoot the series, she once again called Julia. “Siguro values ko na lang din as a woman and as her friend. I called her in respect, delicadeza lang for me na, ‘I’m gonna be working with Josh for this project,’” Gabbi said.
Julia said to Gabbi that permission need not be asked regarding this matter. “Sabi niya sa’kin, you don’t have to call me, you don’t have to even tell me, just go.’ Sabi ko, ‘Wala lang, I just want to let you know [para] walang gulatan or anything,’” the Kapuso actress said.
Meanwhile, Gabbi Garcia shared that just like Joshua Garcia and Jodi Sta Maria, she had a sensuality workshop also for her mature role in the series. It is her first time doing this kind of workshop and it helped her a lot.
She played the character of Alexandra in the series and for her, this is the most mature role she played so far.
