Arjo Atayde admitted that he really enjoyed portraying his character in ‘Cattleya Killer’

Kapamilya actor Arjo Atayde shared his thoughts on his “bida-kontrabida” role in the upcoming series Cattleya Killer.

Arjo’s acting caliber has been noticed by movie and TV critics. He already received international acting recognitions and he continues to amaze his viewers, just like her mom seasoned actress Sylvia Sanchez.

After the premiere night for this series, Sylvia could not help but say that her son is “magaling.”

In the said series, Arjo Atayde is the lead star but his character is an antagonist. It is based on the 1996 film Sa Aking Mga Kamay starring Aga Muhlach. Previously, Arjo shared that he talked to Aga regarding this role.

In a recent interview, based on the article in PUSH, the actor shared how he prepared for his role. Arjo said that he got help from direct Ruel Bayani and the production team behind this project.

But more than that, documentaries, videos, and my own research as well. And that’s about it,” he added. In order for him to embody his character, Arjo said that he went with the flow.

This was not so difficult for him also because of his co-stars in the series. “With all the actors I’m with, it was much easier to work very much,” he shared.

Being a “bida-kontrabida” in the series is also one of the reasons why he enjoyed this project. He said that he is not part of the “cute stuff.” Arjo shared that he chose this role and although it is natural for actors to aspire to do the “bida” role, but for him, his role has complexity and he loves that there is no right or wrong, and there is no limit.

With this, Arjo Atayde said, “So definitely I enjoyed it and I’m here. I just love doing it. That’s it.”
