There’s a rumor about Antoinette Taus that she recently addressed
Actress Antoinette Taus has spoken about the allegation that she left the entertainment industry in order to keep her child.
Antoinette is one of the popular stars in the 90s. She was a priced talent of GMA-7 back then and her loveteam with Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes was a big hit as well.
In 2001, she decided to leave the entertainment industry and live in the States. Her decision to discontinue her acting career prompted intrigue.
In a recent interview on Kapuso actress Camille Prats’s YouTube channel, based on the article in PEP, Antoinette Taus said that her showbiz hiatus was misunderstood by many people. She said that until now, people have different theories about this.
“Kaya nung time na yon andami nilang iba’t ibang mga theories and chismis na hanggang ngayon… na may mga taong nag-iisip na nagkaroon ako ng kids before,” the actress said.
Antoinette stressed that if it is true that she has a child, she will not be ashamed of this. “Kung meron ako [kids] I would be proud of my children and share it with the world,” she said.
The funny twist to this rumor is that allegedly Antoinette does not only have one child because every time she would come back to the States, rumor has it that she has another kid.
Antoinette left the Philippines in 2001 and it is because all her projects ended that year and she thought of trying a life in the States. She shared that when she moved there, they found out that her mom had cancer. For her, it was the right timing that they decided to stay in the U.S.
“Hindi yung parang we had to move during that difficult time. Nandun na kami. We got to spend the last eight months talaga with her, and that’s really when I kind of stopped doing the work that I was doing after that, kasi hindi ko na-realize na I went into depression,” she said.
