Tito Sotto broke his silence on the Eat Bulaga issue
Eat Bulaga host Tito Sotto confirmed that they received an offer from Bacolod City Mayor Albee Benitez, the owner of Brighlight Productions.
Benitez’s production company has produced several shows being aired on TV5. Rumors surfaced a few days ago that Tito, along with EB co-hosts Vic Sotto and Joey de Leon are negotiating with Brightlight Productions.
These past months, Eat Bulaga fans are wondering what really is happening within the show. Rumor has it that a rebranding will happen and the iconic TVJ trio will no longer be part of the new format.
Following TAPE Inc. chief financial officer Bullet Jalosjos’s interview on Fast Talk, Tito Sotto broke his silence. The former Senate President belied the claims that Bullet had in front of Boy Abunda on national TV.
In an interview on Cristy Fermin’s YouTube show Showbiz Now Na, Tito once again narrated how the issue in Eat Bulaga started and what they are trying to do in order for the show to continue.
Amid the issue surrounding the longest-running noontime show in the world, Tito Sotto admitted that they received offers. Cristy asked the veteran TV host regarding the photos of him with Mayor Albee Benitez.
The former Senator wondered how Cristy knew about that because it just happened just recently. Tito said that there is indeed an offer from Brightlight Productions and it is “maganda.”
However, he refused to divulge the details of the offer. “I will not speak beyond that,” Tito said, adding that this is what he, Vic, and Joey talked about the other night.
Cristy stressed that this just means that the charisma of TVJ is still there unlike what Bullet Jalosjos said that the iconic trio will be nothing without Eat Bulaga.
