President Marcos Declares April 21 A Regular Holiday For Eid’l Fitr

April 21 is a regular holiday declared by President Marcos in observance of the Eid’l Fitr.

PRESIDENT MARCOS – April 21 is a regular holiday in observance of Eid’l Fitr, President Bongbong Marcos declared in an official statement.

Eid’l Fitr is the celebration that indicates the conclusion of the month-long fasting of Ramadan which is observed by Muslims worldwide that lasts from sunrise to sunset.

And through Proclamation No. 201, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. signed the document declaring April 21 (Friday) a regular holiday in observance of the Feast of Ramadan.

According to the declaration, the National Commission of Muslim Filipinos recommended this year’s April 21 be a regular holiday.

The proclamation stated that the declaration is “to bring the religious and cultural significance of the Eid’l Fitr to the fore of national consciousness, and to allow the entire Filipino nation to join their Muslim brothers and sisters in peace and harmony in the observance and celebration of the Eid’l Fitr”.

This celebration is one of the most important occasions in Islam
