Alex Gonzaga was asked about the controversy that surfaced during her birthday party
Actress-vlogger Alex Gonzaga shared the lesson she learned from her cake-smearing controversy.
In January, the birthday month of Alex, her celebration was drenched with controversy. This was because of what she did during her birthday party. In a viral video, she smeared the waiter’s face with the icing on her cake.
She was criticized online because of this. Alex said sorry and the waiter accepted the apology.
In a recent interview, based on the article in Inquirer, the actress-vlogger shared the lesson that she learned from that controversy. She said that it was her first time drinking on her birthday.
“Huwag na tayong uminom, first birthday party ko ‘yun na sinabi kong iinom ako,” she said. Alex Gonzaga also stressed that she should be conscious of her actions even though she is enjoying herself and in a safe place because there is still a possibility that another person will get hurt or do things that she does not really like.
The actress-vlogger also said that what happened to her became a wake-up call. “It’s really a wake-up call for me to mature, and grow and think kung anong pwedeng mangyari sa paligid ko na kung ano mang pwedeng maramdaman sa paligid ko na pwede may ma-hurt, pwedeng may masaktan na hindi mo intensyon. You really have to be careful,” she said.
Alex also expressed gratitude to those who defended her and rallied behind her back during the time she was bashed on social media.
She said that at that time, she was not checking her social media pages but she heard the people she worked with defended her and she appreciated this. “Yung mga taong hindi ko talaga friends pero they stood up for me, I’m really thankful for them,” Alex Gonzaga said.
The actress-vlogger added that she will never forget these kinds of moments because she was able to know that there are people who will stand up for her and will defend her.
