PAGASA Says Easterlies & Localized Thunderstorms to Affect PH Weather Condition

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that easterlies and the localized thunderstorms will bring rains over parts of the country.

On Saturday (April 1, 2023), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The easterlies and the localized thunderstorms will affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that easterlies, with localized thunderstorms, will bring cloudy skies and scattered rains over parts of the country.

The Localized Thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Abra, Benguet, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Kalinga, Apayao and Aurora.

The Easterlies / Localized Thunderstorms will bring similar weather condition over entire Palawan, including the Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro as well as Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

The easterlies will bring cloudy weather condition with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Mindanao.

The weather agency warned the public for possible flash floods or landslides due to light to moderate with at times heavy rains and severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Northern Luzon as well as the remaining parts of the country will be slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.
